Class Guidelines and Requirements
Welcome to Sapphire team math class! I am excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I am looking forward to a productive school year. This year will be filled with many new learning activities and exciting experiences. Please remember that success in middle school is tied to being organized and responsible. The following are some things you and your child can do to help ensure his/her success in math this year.
Textbook:  Glencoe Math: Built to the Common Core. Volumes 1 & 2
                  Glencoe Accelerated Math

Class Routine:  
- Enter Room ON TIME!!

                        - Complete the Warm Up Problem. This should be done in
                           notebook. Once finished, wait quietly for others.
                        - Take HW out and place it on your desk.

Class Expectations:

                             - Be on time!
                             - Be prepared
                             - Respect the rights and property of others
                             - Follow directions
                             - Adhere to the Social Contract
                             - Be an active learner (contribute to class discussions, answer 
                               questions when asked and ask questions when you don't 
                             - Be Positive (attitude is a LITTLE thing that makes a BIG 


If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up missed HW's and assessments quickly. Please check homework hotline or ask a classmate for missed assignments. You must show me your make-up work when it is completed so you will receive credit. Any work not shown to me within a timely manner, will be given zero credit! Please make up missed work in a timely manner so that you don't get too far behind. Please make a point to see me during L Block. If you have an extended absence, work can be collected and sent home to you.

Extra Help:
If you are unsure of the material being covered in class, I will be happy to help you during L Block or after school. Please do not hesitate to ask for help promptly. I am happy to help!!
