ART
2017-18

Hello! Welcome to my Website!

Roz

I am thrilled to be an art teacher here at Har-Bur, where I teach 5th, 6th and 8th grade art. This is my fifth year here, but have taught at Canton High School before here, and prior to that, I taught at North Haven Middle School; this is my 18th year enjoying the rewarding career of guiding my students in finding their full potential in fine art. Outside of school, I enjoy time spent with my twin 11-year-old daughters, Maya and Sophia. We love getting together with family and friends and all things that make us laugh! I bring all of my life experiences as a mother and as an artist to my classroom. I love creating a fun and creative environment for my students. I look forward to another rewarding year!

The philosophy of the entire Region # 10 Art Department has been summed up with what the district calls the “Essential Questions”. These are the K-12 essential questions in art.

1. How do artists communicate through their art?

2. How do artists solve problems?

3. How do artists describe, analyze, interpret and evaluate their own and others art work?

4. How do artists develop a professional work ethic?

5. What is the connection between art and culture?
